Avellino. La S. S. Felice Scandone Sidigas Avellino comunica di aver sottoscritto l’accordo con Stefano Sacripanti (detto Pino, ndr), che ricoprirà il ruolo di capoallenatore per la prossima stagione. Nato a Cantù, classe 1970, nelle ultime due stagioni ha diretto la panchina del club della sua città, portandolo a disputare il primo turno di playoff contro l'Umana Reyer Venezia. Per il coach canturino si tratta di un ritorno in Campania, avendo guidato la Juvecaserta per ben quattro stagioni. Nel 2010 il team bianconero viene eliminato in gara-5 dal'Olimpia Milano nelle semifinali play-off scudetto, dopo una serie tiratissima. Risultato che vale l'accesso in Eurolega. Dopo l'eliminazione ai preliminari, la Juvecaserta "scivola" in Eurocup, nella quale arriva ai quarti, ad un passo dalle Final Four. Sacripanti inizia la sua carriera di capo allenatore nel 2000 a Cantù dove nel 2003 vince la Supercoppa italiana. Nell'estate 2007 lascia la panchina di Cantù per approdare alla Victoria Libertas Pesaro, ma nel 2008 riesce a raggiungere questo traguardo ottenendo la qualificazione alle Final Eight con un ottavo posto in campionato. Dal 2006 è head coach della Nazionale Italiana Under 20, la quale, sotto la sua guida, nei rispettivi Campionati Europei di categoria, ha raggiunto importanti traguardi e molte soddisfazioni.
